Who Told YOU ?
“That you’re a blessing isn’t the reason you are going to make it to heaven; a smoker can bless you, a murderer can bless you, a sinner can bless you, a liar can bless you, someone with wrong motives can bless you, even the devil; to get something, can bless you, however, that will not take them to heaven- good deeds don’t take you to heaven, Jesus does”.- SST.
Who told you being a chapel worker will take you to heaven?
Who told you winning souls will get you to heaven?
Who told you, anything in works will take you to heaven?
Studying scripture diligently, you will come to understand that good deeds keep you in heaven if you eventually get there, good deeds offer you a reward in heaven, as your work for God isn’t left without a reward… ( Matthew 5:1-12,1 Corinthians 9:24-25, 1 Thessalonians 2:19, 2 Timothy 4:8, 1 Peter 5:4, Revelation 2:10 )…
Understand this; when your child goes to school and study’s diligently, what he gets is a reward for his faithfulness. You see, his diligence without an EXAMINATION wouldn’t amount to much, but if however he does write the exams, then he get a reward for his work…
Therefore,
“Jesus said unto him, ‘I am the way, the truth and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me”- John 14:6.
Jesus is WHO ( not WHAT that) takes you to heaven!!! His works through you reward you IF you eventually GET THERE.
This piece was written for clearity- Matthew 7:21 says “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven”. The will of the Father is that “they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24). This is to say that in whatsoever you do as regards making it to heaven where you can meet the Father, it should be with a right and pure motive.
Do not go to church because you think that is what God is going to consider in accepting you into His kingdom, NO! Going to church helps you know more about God and the gathering of His people can never be despised, plus, your faith is strengthened in a real church… the same goes for everything else, “while not all good deeds are godly, all godly deeds are good deeds”. Accept Jesus as your personal Lord and saviour and then all other things will follow; do not accept all other things and expect Jesus to follow… This article doesn’t say you should stop the good works; all it says is, for you to have a good motive, understand your foundation and do not deceive yourself (at least, not any more).
