God Doesn’t Send People To Hell, They Volunteer
“God doesn’t send people to hell, they volunteer”

It would be natural to say God is unfair if He sends some people to hell, so it’s also only natural to understand that he doesn’t, as a reference, let’s study the account in Luke 16:19-31, given key interest to verses 24-28…
…19 “There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. 20 But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, 21 desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ 25 But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. 26 And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’ 27 “Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, 28 for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’
29 Abraham said to him, ‘they have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’ 30 And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ 31 But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.”
Luke 16:19-17:1 NKJV
The rich man says (paraphrasing), please Abraham, tell Lazarus to tell my people not to come, he didn’t say please Abraham tell God not to send my people here as seen from the above scripture. The things is, people don’t even know they are sending themselves to hell, they actually think its God that will send them there (either ways, they know based on their lifestyle, that they are going there), not knowing He only permit their choice after warning them beyond reasonable doubts. Once you’re there, without doubt, you will affirm to have sent yourself there, but the good news is you don’t have to go there; we already have a testimony from someone that is still there.
God loves us so much that He day and night cries over those of us who constantly choose hell over Him (have you ever wondered why God doesn’t sleep? well now you know). There is nothing once you have gotten to hell that He can do because doing anything then, will be against His own self, what we call sin in the form of compromise, but(THE GOOD NEWS) there is everything He can do (WHICH HE DOES) so even though you have chosen hell can end up landing in heaven.I mean, He sent His only begotten son to die for us- Now it is very important to note the time God sent His son to die for(since the Son brings salvation, it will be useless to have sent Him after we finished sinning thus landing safely in hell)
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8 NKJV
Still, makes it is a conditional statement such that, the determination has not been reached which means (please listen, this is important) God sent His Son to die for us while we were still on the road to hell, which means we can still make heaven!!!(If that’s not good news, I don’t know what is). The only person that cannot be forgiven is that person in whom judgment has been made on (devil, that’s you and only you) but anyone else, heaven is still waiting for you, you can make heaven today; even now…
43 And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
Luke 23:43 NKJV
(Don’t be scared that only dying takes you there, God took the dying part already, yours is to take the heaven part)
God did not come to send you to hell; He came to save you from hell.
17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
John 3:17 NKJV
It’s only late when you are already in hell (and the rich man testified to that, even more, telling us, those still on earth can make heaven; talking to his brothers; those still in sin)
From our story, the rich man wanted to make heaven so bad he stated evangelising in hell, but it was too late. You might say you will accept Jesus later, and choose heaven later, but you are never sure how close to hell you already are on your journey. Today, taking a purse- and accepting Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour could be (which actually is) the only thing that can save you from hell.
I mean why risk it? when it cost you nothing to get salvation and cost God everything, to the extend He said in John 19:30
… It is finished…!!!(Think deep)
…Meaning complete, no more/no less is needed….
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.
John 1:12
If you’ve never RECEIVED JESUS into your life as your Lord and Personal Saviour and would want to do so, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GO TO MY YES TO JESUS PAGE NOW (http://bib4le.wordpress.com/yes-to-jesus/), so you can do so and also confirm why you are doing thus so. If also you know someone that hasn’t received Jesus into his or her life; YES TO JESUS is a page to invite them too.
Remember Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
John 14:6 NKJV
This is to say, unless you’ve come to know Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour; you are still on your way to hell, which shouldn’t be. This means you are not glorifying God instead the devil…
NOTE
God doesn’t send people to hell, the volunteer!

Christianity, if false, is not important. If Christianity is true, however, it is of infinite
importance. What it cannot be is moderately important…

Heaven is not for sinners, it’s for those who were once sinners….

You are a man after my own heart. We have so many common thoughts about the parable of Lazarus and the rich man. I have heard so many people use this parable for the express purpose of proving you go to hell if you don’t accept Christ. There is nothing wrong in that but there is a whole lot more to the story than that as you have so wonderfully shown. God bless you!
Thanks, glad we share the same thoughts on this; I pray people also come to the knowledge this…. Christ came to correct not condemn,as Christ-like people that should also be our approach…
Excellent post! God bless you! I’m so glad that I have been baptized in the name of Jesus, and I have been filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost! I’m saved, sanctified, and I’m running up the King’s Highway! Thank you so much for visiting my blog, and subscribing to it. The Lord willing, I will be back to visit again soon!
