Have you ever looked at someone and said that person must be Yoruba or better still, you see someone and you’re like she’s a white person or maybe Chinese. When you see someone’s ID card, you know he’s from a particular location, school or office, looking at someone’s face tells you whose son the child is (for those that know the father).
The ambassador of any country is known by his style of dressing, location of the environment placed, his plate-number and most importantly the country he came from. No matter how well and fun the life of an ambassador is; he always knows he has an expiring date and so works his best to accomplish the much he can before he returns home.
The ambassador’s authority comes from his home country but the country he is based in also pays him. He is responsible for telling that country all he knows about his country, how his country can help improve the present country he is in. Whenever the president of the ambassador’s country comes, he is in-charge of taking the president around, introducing him to the president of that country and showing him what the two countries have done with respect to his country. After the agreed or fixed period of time, the ambassador returns back home where he leaves for ever.
WHAT COULD GO WORNG!
If the ambassador goes and does not do his work, that country gets tired of him and his country removes him. For him to be an ambassador of a particular country, the ID of that country he must keep.
If he gets to a country that is better than his own and decides to take the citizenship of that country, then he is no longer fit to be the ambassador of his former country and so he’s not. A citizen can’t be an ambassador in his own country…
Imagine me been the Nigerian ambassador to Nigeria
WHAT’S THE POINT OF ALL THIS:
WE are God’s ambassadors, whose home we find in heaven; here on earth are we to do, that in heaven, which earth appreciates.
“Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven”…
Mathew 6: 10b
A reasonable question…
If you can look at someone and know his sex, school, state, country etc., just by identifying something that made you know- how then is it that when someone looks at your life; sees your identity, he still doesn’t recognise you are heaven based or does he? (I really pray they do, however, the good news is they still can). As an ambassador of God; does your character, talk, association, conversation, believes, faith shows were your origin is?
An ambassador of God is someone sent from heaven to do earthly jobs the heavenly way.
He is someone who introduces the lifestyle of heaven to people here on earth, a person who knows his reward and salary comes from heaven. No matter how well earth is (tempting and all that), an ambassador of God knows, he will one day have to return home to give an account of his stewardship (Luke 16:2); on how he spent earth.
Do you even know you’re an ambassador?
Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.
2 Corinthians 5:20…
Something is wrong if you’ve not been doing heaven business here on earth. It’s Scriptural that all you do be done to the glory of God…
And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men
… Meaning that course you’ve studying, that profession you are in, should all be done to the glory of God. If earth hasn’t heard about heaven in your location; where are you from and whose ambassador are you?
Listen, an ambassador is sent to a location because he fits into that place. If God sent you to earth, (your office, home, continent, for instance), its only because they people you would find there would listen to you best about heaven than anyone else, anywhere else, at any point in time of your existence.
Kingdom business is what you’re called into– get involved now! Getting involved however requires you to first realize you’re sent from heaven, accept this fact and receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour( VISIT my YES TO JESUS PAGE, http://bib4le.wordpress.com/yes-to-jesus/) as He is the only one with the direction of both here and back to home. YES TO JESUS page will lead you through the process of doing just that…
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
When you’ve done the above, ask Him for your assignment as his ambassador, and then together youGuys will do it.
