You Attract Extra Blessings, When You Pray A Prayer Of Thanksgivng!!!

“Be anxious for nothing,but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving,let your request be made known to God…”
Philippians 4:6
The bible says prayer and supplication with thanksgiving- the question is” can you say thank you for what you have not received,in order words,can you say thank you when someone didn’t give you something you wanted better still needed…?”
Now wouldn’t you thank someone when he does give you that thing you wanted and really needed?I mean its only proper to appreciate someone that has done something for you.
The Bible says pray with a thankful heart,this is only because that thing you are about to ask for has already been answered(it has already been given in Christ Jesus)
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ”…
Ephesians 1:3
“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus”…
Philippians 4:19
This is to say,once a need comes up,the provision follows. someone will say the Bible says “ask and it will be given to you…”! Well look at it this way…
you need school fees,you go to meet your parents to ask for it,then realize they have already provided and its in the room;in a situation like that,you don’t ask to GET the school fees again, you ask to TAKE IT,likewise here as seen in the above Scriptures,school fees representing your need,parents representing God and provision and room representing Christ Jesus. There is a difference between taking something and getting it,the former collects what has been received(like when you receive a text message,you take it by opening it)while getting involves asking to receive(waiting for the text to enter)
…That’s why it says “ask and it will be given to you”(matthew 7:7).NOTE, when it said ask,it didn’t say the format in which to ask,thus you can ask to Take. Looking at it again,it didn’t say ask and it will be considered or it might be given unto you,it said and it shall be given to you,that’s 100% confirmation,that’s a reason to say thank you because you have assurance of answered prayers!
This is were faith comes in,remember faith is what you know God has done not what you think He will do,so when you pray a prayer of thanksgiving with respect to what physically you haven’t gotten,you are exhibiting faith;”the substance of things hoped for,expectations not seen”(Hebrews 11:1).
Something that amazes me is this…
Why would God do exceedingly abundantly above what you ask for(Ephesians 3:20)? Does He want to show off(NO! There is no reason for that,no one can be compared to Him), then why? Because he loves you? YES,but beyond that or because of that I should say…
When you say thank you to someone,its only because you appreciate the person, and therefore showing a sign of gratitude. This naturally makes the person want to do more because he is happy, now,how much more Jesus?
When you pray a prayer of thanksgiving,you are telling God you appreciate His work in your life with respect to that thing you’ve not yet taken(the truth is, it has been received just waiting to be taken,remember a received sms is useless if you don’t take it and open it)and that can only be done through faith. God says that:
” …without faith,it is impossible to please Him”
Hebrews 11:6
Again He says:
“Figure out what will please me and then do it”
Ephesians 5:10(msg translation)
So when you do please God(off course through the act of faith),He does more than you ask. Here is why…
When you pray a specific prayer of request,you tell God exactly what you want and so He gets it for you,but when you pray a prayer of thanksgiving,you let God figure out what you want and gives you(at this point, they both are the same because thanking God tells Him what your request would have been).But here’s the thing,while you don’t always complete your homework on the totality of what you need in a specific prayer request,God on the other hand always completes His homework and that’s why its easy for Him to do exceedingly abundantly above what you asked in a prayer of thanksgiving. Have you ever noticed that even though God does more than you ask,its never a waste or too much to handle? Its because somehow someone else or yourself had need of it,this is prove that He does His homework well,its exactly how you NEEDED it.
